This is followed by Circle Time. Here the children learn about the calendar and weather, sing songs, play movement games and take part in various hands on academic learning activities. Monthly themes are presented. Children learn Science, Social Studies, Reading Readiness, Language Arts and Math at this time. All lessons are developed according to the age group.
The children have the opportunity for active play on the playground when weather permits, or in the Fellowship Hall for large motor activities.
A time for snack is provided where positive manners and interaction is encouraged.
Story Time allows the children time to unwind and learn the importance of books and reading.
We have a special time set for "Music and Movement."
Free Play offers children a chance to choose from a variety of play choices including blocks, a play kitchen area, a sand box, and doll house to name a few. Children are encouraged to take part in arts and crafts activities as well. This is part of our "Guided Center Time" where the class rooms are divided into learning centers and children may participate in the center that interests them.
Preparation to go home involves reviewing the days events and saying goodbye to our friends.
Our school incorporates Christian values and lessons, with Bible stories and prayer, emphasizing God's daily presence in our lives. We learn about God's love for us in sending his son, Jesus, into the world.
